The Legal Research & Writing faculty present this audio research tour of the Young Law Library to acclimate new students to legal research resources and techniques. Please take your time in going through the tour to familiarize yourself with the organization of the law library and the resources provided to you.

At the circulation desk of the Young Law Library, .mp3 players preloaded with the audio tour tracks can be checked out for the tour.

Students are also welcome to download the audio tour files and use their own audio device for playback.  Instructions for doing so are listed below.

Audio Tour Zip

This file contains the complete audio tour in a condensed zip file. An unzip program is required. To download and extract the files, right-click on the above link, "Audio Tour Zip" and click "Save Target As..." Select a location for the file to be placed on your computer then click "Save."

When the file has downloaded, navigate to the location on your computer where you placed the file. Click on the file, and a pop-up box with the folder named "zip" will open. On the left side of the pop-up box, click on "Extract all files," and an Extraction Wizard will pop up.  Follow the directions of the Wizard to designate where the files will extracted to. When completed, you will have a new folder in the designated location. Open the new folder to find the 14 .mp3 tracks of the audio research tour.  Load the tracks to your .mp3 player according to your player's intructions.  The proper track order for the audio tour is listed below.  If you need assistance with this process, please contact Jason Springman.

If you would like to stream the audio tracks from the Internet, click on each individual track listed here. Note, some Internet browsers will create a buffered delay at the beginning of the track that briefly cuts off the audio. Files may also be downloaded to your computer or .mp3-capable audio device.
