Kathryn A. SampsonKathryn Sampson joined the University of Arkansas School of Law’s research and writing faculty in 1993, after teaching in a similar capacity at Mercer University School of Law in Macon, Ga., from 1990-93 and clerking for the Second Judicial District of Iowa from 1989-90. She is a 1989 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law and a 1982 English and Journalism graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. Professor Sampson taught composition, rhetoric and analysis since 1980 in various capacities — as a student writing specialist, language arts teacher, and faculty member in two research and writing programs. She coached 16 Arkansas moot court teams, members of which have collectively advanced three times to the final rounds of the National Moot Court Competition, won four best oralist awards, two best brief awards,and advanced eight times out of preliminary rounds, with three teams winning competition trophies. Professor Sampson published several articles on topics ranging from will contest litigation to ethics in legal research and writing.
